What is the Meaning of June Holidays?

The month of June debuts with National Donut Day, June 1st, a fun moment we should share with our friends and family members.

National Best Friend Day, celebrated in the U.S. on June 8, is dedicated to the special people in our lives. We all need an opportunity to show our love and appreciation, and this June holiday is the perfect excuse.

On June 11th, the Muslim world celebrates Lailatul Qadr, the most important night of prayer for the Islamic world. This special day falls in the last 10 days of Ramadan, and it is dedicated to prayer and obtaining forgiveness for the sins committed.

June also includes Flag Day, June 14th, when all Americans honor the nation’s flag.  This day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States in 1777 by the resolution at the Second Continental Congres. Also, don’t forget to get a present for your Dad on June 17th when we celebrate Father’s Day!

Another important celebration in June is the Summer Solstice, June 21. On this day we witness the longest day of the year, a traditional cause of celebration around the globe.
